For those who are excited to learn more about fluid art painting, I suggest the Beginner classes. I have designed these classes to build upon each other so that artists can be successful at each level. Beginner classes are a pre-requisite to Intermediate classes, which may be taken in any order. The Intermediate - Paint Play class is a pre-requisite to the Advanced class offerings.
Beginner Level 1 - FOUNDATION $40
Two hour studio time includes instruction and insight into the fluid art process. Artists will learn three techniques and will create on three canvases, using primary colors. Pre-mixed paint, supplies and canvases are included in the class fee.
Beginner Level 2 - DESIGN AND COMPOSITION $40
Two hour studio time includes instruction on a variety of tools used in fluid art painting. Artists will create on three canvases, practicing design and composition using primary colors. Pre-mixed paint, supplies and canvases are included in the class fee.
Beginner Level 3 - MEDIUMS AND ADDITIVES $50
Two hour studio time includes instruction on mixing fluid art paint, using mediums and additives, and artists will learn three techniques highlighting “cells” and “lacing”. Intermediate - EMBELLISHMENTS $50
Two hour studio time includes insight and guidance on embellishing a dried fluid art painting an artist isn’t excited about. Artists will share ideas and then focus on re-inventing the painting using a variety of provided supplies, tools, mediums, etc. Artists are invited to bring their own dried fluid art painting or one may be provided.
Intermediate - “SKINS” $50
Two hour studio time includes instruction on using pre-made “skins” to create unique arts and crafts. Artists may bring their own “skins” and a selection will be provided. Artists may choose from a variety of substrates (canvas, trinkets, etc.) or they are invited to bring their own small to medium sized object to design.

Two hour studio time provides an opportunity for artists to expand on prior knowledge while having accessibility to a variety of specialty paints. Specialty paints include color shifting, fluorescent, metallic, satin enamels, glitter paints, and more. Finished paintings may be housed in the studio for pickup when dry (mostly dry in one week, completely dry in two weeks). It is preferable that a host pick up all pieces and distribute to guests. Shipping service is not offered. Alternatively, artists are invited to bring an appropriately sized container to the class for transporting their completed “wet” artwork (i.e. pizza box or box lid).
Access to the studio requires the ability to go up and down stairs. The space is not handicap accessible. We “get messy” in Grandma’s studio... artists should wear appropriate attire and aprons are provided.
Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. Classes may be rescheduled when one week notice of cancellation is provided.
I look forward to setting a date and time for play!
